Fixed a HASP HL compatibility issue. Hasps were misrecognized in the Cafe & CafePlus versions..

Added a small application to delay 20 seconds the automatic loading of Jazler when a computer restarts, so it can give time to the computer to load the HASP drivers

Changed the appearance of the Jazler control panel, so it can be compatible with resolutions of large fonts.

OCTOBER 2006

Adds the NEW HASP drivers to be compatible on most motherboards

New system that refreshes the playlist. Sometimes on slow machines, the playlist was not refreshed on the half-hours.

Fixed problem in the logs path. Fresh installs of Jazler did not keep logs until you entered a new valid path on your hard disk.

SEPTEMBER 2006

Fixed the HASP Hardware compatibility problem on new motherboards. Now Jazler installes the new driver of the HASP key that makes the HASPs compatible with most motherboards.

Fixed the runtime error that occures when Jazler closes. This error never caused any problem, but it was annoying though.

Fixed the compatibility problem with NERO 7.x and 6.x. Jazler could not work or raised a protection error when trying to playback mp3 files.

Added support to ON-RDS.

Added a 30 second timeout when importing songs while in autocue mode. In older versions, if a file had a problem, Jazler stopped responding.

HASP Support additions
We added support for the USB HASPs that are dispatched to all new users. We also added the functionality to check for LPT HASPs at all printer ports and not only at LPT1.

Added cancel buttons to the song file finder
Until now, the user could not cancel the process of adding new files when Jazler was trying to auto-cue the songs added.

Added Turkish interface language
We finally added a language we did not have and needed so. Turkish users can select Jazler to be displayed at their language and use it in a more comfortable way.

Added support for the Inovonics 712 RDS
This is a beta driver though, so it might not work well yet.

Improved the Norton RDS driver
The Norton RDS is still in beta testing though. There are some interruptions in the PSN broadcasts but we hope to fix this in the next versions.

Fixed the "&" export bug
Jazler replaced the "&" with the "+" sign when exporting to a text or xml file.

Moved the Date & Time to a different place in the studio
The date and time have moved now on top of the control screens so they can be permanently seen.

Fixed the database defragmenter
The database defregmenter did not defragment the files JAZLER2GENERAL and PLAYLISTS. This made the files growing and taking too much space after a lot of use.

Fixed the scrolling bug in the studio
If you had too many songs loaded and wanted instantly to see the last song in the database browser of the studio, you had to scroll down waiting to go to the end. Now Jazler loads the entire recordset instantly.

Changes since version 2.3.x
The default installation of Jazler is no more in program files. We have set it to be the root of your drive C. This is because Microsoft Windows XP refuses the access to the Program Files folder after the installation of Service Pack 1 or 2. To access Jazler from a LAN, go to the folder made by the Jazler setup in drive C and share it as it is.

Before Installing
You MUST uninstall any previous version of Jazler before installing any new 2.3.x version. This means that you must make a database backup and recall it when the new Jazler is installed. If you are going to use a HASP key, you must also reboot after installing Jazler 2.3.x

Downgrading back to an earlier version
If -for some reason- you decide to downgrade back to an earlier version of Jazler, you have to uninstall Jazler and manually delete the file EQPro.ocx from the Windows/System32 directory before installing an earlier version. If you do not do this, earlier versions of Jazler will not work and raise an error when loading this file. (Out of memory)

Information for registered users
If you have unlocked Jazler with an unlock code given by us, even if you uninstall the older Jazler version and install the new version, the new version will be unlocked too, as the unlocking information is kept into the registry and does not get lost when uninstalling Jazler.

Who needs to buy the hasp key(s)?
Everyone who has purchased Jazler.Old clients have to purchase the hardware key in order to keep their copy unlocked after a format or change of their main hard drive C. Whoever has got more that 4 unlock codes cannot get a new one anymore. He/she must obtain a HASP key. Others can still obtain an unlock key until the end of August.
Clients that have the SimplePack(Full) version of Jazler have the right to buy TWO (2) HASP's and clients that are the owners of Cafe or CafePlus have the right to obtain ONE (1) HASP. All new clients from today, will receive automatically the HASPs as it is already added to the new price of Jazler.
The HASP key must be bought from everyone. Even the clients that have obtained Jazler for free (either as translators or beta testers) or with a discount. The HASP key is given for free only to our ALPHA testers and programmers. (4-5 people). Giving out our software for free or discounted does not cost us so much as giving out the HASPS that are bought from Aladdin...

Why HASP?
The last months, our statistics showed an increase of people asking for unlock codes after a computer failure (either from a damaged disk or virus) or even pretending a fake failure so they can obtain an unlock code for another computer without normal license. This kept us all day in front of the computer giving out unlock codes to people without knowing if the codes were for their own computers of for their friends!
The HASP unlock key just plugs at the LPT printer port of your computer and unlocks Jazler without needing an unlock code. It also has an output so you can plug in your printer.
This gives you automatically the right to transfer the Jazler license to wherever you are, format the computer whenever you need and not need our unlock code (that might take days to arrive).
